Premium 701 Gen2
The Premium 701 uses the new LDR 3056 ribbon tweeter for the first time. Its thin membrane has a newly developed suspension and is perfectly controlled by mass-free damping. Thanks to the optimised magnet system and a new foil layout, the tweeter offers higher efficiency, greater bandwidth and linearity. The enormous development and production costs pay off in the sound and the audible result is the fine resolution and the precise representation of each individual tone. Two 140 mm MDS converters cater for the bass, one of the two also handles mid-tone emission. The Premium 701 can operate in almost any room thanks to its dynamic and powerful sound.

Reducing distortion with Soft Magnetic Compound
The RUBICON 8 draws on the heritage from the SMC-based “Linear Drive System”, introduced with the EPICON series. With SMC, we achieve extremely low distortion and maximise detail, even at low volume. The drivers are manufactured in-house at our production facilities in central Denmark and feature the latest in magnet motor technology. The RUBICON 8 sets new audio quality standards for Hi-Fi lovers around the world.

DALI HYBRID TWEETER
The master of wide dispersion
The DALI hybrid tweeter module features a soft dome tweeter and a ribbon element that combine to create an amazing rendition of high-frequency details. The voice-coil used in the RUBICON 8 soft dome is extremely light and agile, which helps it deliver a broader bandwidth. The ribbon tweeter is the master of wide dispersion and, in combination with the soft dome, reaches as low as 2.5 kHz, providing continuous wide dispersion as the soft dome becomes more directional at higher frequencies. This extreme bandwidth and ultra-wide dispersion is an important part of DALI’s sound philosophy.

6½» WOOFERS
Drawing on technologies from our EPICON series
The three 6½» drivers used in the RUBICON 8 work together to reproduce a clean, detailed sound with no colouration. Drawing on EPICON technology, the woofer cones have a light, rigid and randomly uneven structure, which lowers the complexity of the central part of the motor, ensures piston-like movement, significantly reduces the possibility of surface resonance and minimises distortion. Designed specifically for the RUBICON 8, the soft, low-loss rubber surround includes a cast-aluminium chassis designed for maximum airflow around the cone and magnet system.
CABINET DESIGN
Blending elegant design and functionality
The gracefully elegant RUBICON 8 cabinet provides a rigid foundation for the low-loss drivers. On this inside, the woofers are enclosed in separate chambers to minimise interference, while bass reflex ports positioned directly behind each woofer minimises turbulence and delivers exceptional timing.

MASTER LINE SOURCE
The Master Line Source, the absolute flagship of the PIEGA loudspeakers, was produced over several years of development. It operates on the line source principle, which is considered by audio experts as the ideal transducer. All frequencies are radiated as coherent cylindrical sound waves. Thanks to the enormous membrane area of the line source loudspeaker, its sound producing area is considerably greater than with conventional loudspeakers and exhibits only extremely low distortion.

HIGHEST PRECISION
The entire baffle of the midrange panel is cut from one solid aluminium block offering outstanding stability and damping. The aluminium block consists of a special alloy
offering maximum rigidity and internal damping and is also
annealed in an hour long process to remove stresses. The entire cutting process for the baffles alone requires several hours as only this ensures the required precision.

METICULOUS WORKMANSHIP
The Master Line Source can only be produced from the meticulous workmanship of an experienced member of the PIEGA crew. A long wait time – untypical of PIEGA – for the delivery of these giants of sound is therefore not uncommon. The Master Line Source is produced at the company headquarters without haste and with a great deal of precision and value for the product.
